#Gwk7 was not for the faint hearted, it was full of drama, joy, heartbreaks, a sit-down strike, goal or no goal controversy and fan pitch invasion. As we approached the last corner of the season, there was a lot to play for and there I stood to give a detailed report of what happened in Kanyanya for those who missed out.

Nsiikye Saints 1 vs 0 Abanihizi

Abanihizi have challenges with early kicks and the losing streak continued against Nsiikye Saints. Nsiikye Saints slaughtered Abanihizi with a borrowed sword. It was Abanihizi’s prodigal son Remy in exile who returned to haunt them, doing all the dirty work and damage. We have seen many on loan players shying away from fixtures, putting up substandard performances against their parent clubs but fair play to Remy he never held back, maybe he had a point to prove.

James proving again he is the creative spark in Nsiikye's midfield with an assist. The win pushing Nsiikye Saints in top 6 convo and what a dream season they are having now that their marque signing Remy has hit top form. With this loss, Abanihizi continue to struggle in bottom 10.

Ntemi Chiefs 0 vs 0 Abezekyenda

On paper, the runaway table leaders Abezekyenda would bully their way out of this fixture. Yet Ntemi’s possession football limited their influence on the ball. Ntemi’s 6 ft Guma Gilbert, who has had a formidable season ever since he switched to goal keeping, denied Benjamin and Nicolas goal scoring opportunities by pulling off marvelous saves to frustrate the table leaders. The table leaders huffed and puffed but failed to find a way through the resilient old Chiefs, with Mukama, Mpora lion of Toro and Benja pulling the strings in midfield.

Emanzi 0 vs 0 Basheya

We all know Basheya unleash their “lets frustrate them” policy against youthful teams but are laid back against their old regiments. Still considering their form, Basheya seemed to have an upper hand and it was evident on the field of play. They created more scoring chances compared to Emanzi. Basheya had the opportunity to win the match when the ref pointed at the penalty spot.

Honorable Ndugu stepped up - we don’t know if it was the halftime phone call to run back to meet his bae, or the archbishop or land grabbers in his constituency but he missed the penalty and the game ended in stalement.

Legends 2 vs 0 Solutions.

The vibe of Legends’ new kit gave them an aura and Solutions were outshone, out possessed and outsmarted. There were so many battles on the field, league top scorers Derrick and Kiga P going head-to-head, the 2 brothers Derrick and Collins, midfield battle between Itamba and Mark but in all aspects, Legends dominated their senior brothers. More apples, more assists for chair Credo5, he laid on the ball for Derrick's goal, a hard low shot that Rogers was not expecting to save. Legends striker Baino was creating problems for Senkima and Allan with his dribbling, nutmegs and movement in addition to missing chance after chance to put the game out of reach for Solutions.

On the other side, Legends defenders Zac and Credo bullied Collins and danger man Kiga P off the ball. Derrick side stepped Allan, laid on a teasing ball into solutions penalty box, Baino like Bergkamp finished it off calmly and expertly like ice running through his veins to double the lead. Solutions had a chance to pull one goal back when Legends conceded a penalty, Kiga P stepped away, Ogez stepped up but Bright's imposing frame and game reading helped him to save it. The kit made every Legends player Superman even Francois would have matched away with brace only that he headed wide twice with only the keeper to beat. 2 - 0 it ended in favor of Legends.

Abakuubwa 2 vs 1 Abomutumba

Reigning player of the week Alba continued his rich vein of form by receiving the ball from Abakuubwa’s player and launching unstoppable shot that Derrick failed to save to give the matooke boys a first half time lead. Everyone thought the defending champions were a gone case but they came back fighting in the second half and tables turned for ekitookye boys. Elgio, Ivan, Century and Philibert causing problems for Alba's team with attack after attack. Ivan set up Elgio's goal to equalize for the defending champions. My nephew Elgio has no tap ins in his goals gallery but hammers outside the box. Ivan was still at the center of all Abakuubwa’s attacks - his initial shot first cleared off the goal line by Philibert but he still unselfishly fed him to score and complete Abakuubwa’s comeback.

Abaleni 3 vs 0 Ababombo

The Brazilians of the league, they have so much talent they can support every cohort with mercenaries. The only consistent team that seems to put Abezekyenda swearing in ceremony on hold. Off form, inconsistency of players turning up has been the Achilles heel for the pink Ababombo guys. The fixture threw them in the path of glory hunting wolves and they were torn into shreds, Kimmich, Mugisha officer and Edmund scored the goals, Marvin, Jose vet and Obadiah laid on assists to keep abaleni title dreams alive.

Abezekyenda 1 vs 0 Abanihizi

The table leaders started in high gear after dropping points in the earlier game but Abanihizi thwarted and matched them in first half. Second half started and a simple corner saw Abanihizi keeper Arnold struggle with the ball until it was an own goal. Ref pointed to the center, Abanihizi protested it as a foul goal. Abanihizi took a sit-down strike protesting not to kick the ball, ref waited for the time to end the match but Arnold knows the truth. Sometimes, you can’t seek honesty from a footballer much so if it’s on a football field. The win ended purple sharks’ sequence of draws.

Nsiikye Saints 1 vs 0 Amahoome

The most in-form striker who is returning value on investment, Remy scored with his first touch after an aerial pass from Muraari. Undoubtedly, a contender for player of the week considering his streak of 4 goals have brought Saints 12 maximum points.

Amajojo 2 vs 0 Aboojo

Amajojo were too hot to handle for Aboojo but they have to learn to be clinical in front of goal. Bazar, Roman, Nimusiima all toyed with Aboojo’s keeper Reagan as they missed chance after chance with only him to beat, Ragz and Gilbert in defense didn’t seem happy with their complacency and made their feelings known. Nimusiima missed a penalty, Adonia converted from the penalty spot to give the elephants the lead. Gilbert, his jersey tucked in like Valencia, a joyful player to watch when he has the ball regardless of his temperament surged forward from defense and finished off a one - two touch move from Allan with a well taken goal to double the elephants’ lead.

Abakachai 0 vs 0 Abakawu

Abakachai had all the weapons to hurt Abakawu on paper but Abakawu’s Berlin Wall manned by Martin, Ijuuka Cygan and action packed taichi Shaolin defender Mr Gas could not allow them sight on goal. There was no room for Ampa, Dominic, Sir Lambert or Muheebwa to thrive on the ball so they resorted to taking off target long shots from distance. Primus, Sam and Rwezahura matched the teaboys aggressiveness in midfield so a draw worked for both sides.

Amahoome 1 vs 1 Aboojo

Amahoome made a dream start by taking advantage of Aboojo’s team who had AMDA commitments and failed to raise a complete team. Akampurira Derrick set up Mpairwe Tyson to give the leisure boys the lead in first half. Aboojo upped the tempo and punished Amahoome’s lackluster finishing, Micheal Platini Mbaine weaving his left foot through Amahoome defenders and placing the ball on a silver platter for Nuwagira Gerald to score the equalizer.

Enturi 2 vs 0 Amajojo

An intricate passing game and Amajojo had no answer to stop Enturi’s well-oiled juggernaut. Another Enturi midfield general Elvis graced Kanyanya, what he lacks in physique and height, he squares it up with his game intelligence and his bravery, composure on the ball under or no duress. Elvis knew when to go long or short. He provided Enturi with more technical security. None of Amajojo’s physical midfielders got near him, this gave Coleb, Kakuru, Oswald and Mets more attacking license. Coleb assisted Mets wonder goal as he dribbled past 3 elephants and finished emphatically. Coleb then laid on an assist to adequate who was a few yards from the center, a looping shot curved in the top left corner beating Sam who was not expecting the shot considering Enturi players spend most of the times passing the ball.

Abukyariire 1 vs 1 Entumwa

Abukyarire seemed to have control of the game and only one man, Sextus thwarted them. Mathias Abukyariire's wing back was a thorn in Entumwa's defence. Katumba bossed the midfield as he limited Birungi, Roja and Linus’ influence in Abukyariire' s attacking third. Moses set up Mathias with a cutback and the left back canoed in a shot Sextus failed to save to give Abukyariire the lead. Entumwa are draw specialists this season. Linus threw in a teasing cross in Abukyariire's penalty box, Birungi rose highest to head into an empty net after miscommunication between Mr Safe Hands and his defenders. Kakuru Austin cut a frustrated figure as he was denied service and Sextus became his man marker in second half.

Abaleni 1 vs 0 Abomutumba

A very intense game, Marvin is turning into a van Dijk with his pin point long balls from Abaleni’s defense into opposition 's half. Well, the ball landed into Payet’s path who smashed it to give Abaleni the lead and maximum points. He celebrated by pointing to the sky, and unveiling a shirt beneath his jersey which had a message for his departed dad. It was an emotional game but we are still all around to comfort our brother Payet to overcome the nightmare he and his family went through.

Abakuubwa 1 vs 1 Abakawu

Two teams with aggressive players went head-to-head. Rwezahura gave the cowboys the lead with a well taken lead. Gas, chest thumping and running from one side of the pitch to another in wild celebrations. Abakuubwa went aggressively in search of an equalizer and the referee lost control of the game, with tackles flying in from both sides. Until Abakawu’s skipper took matters in his hands after a nasty challenge from Mob, first he took on Mobb in retaliation and Lordwin the pitch invader. The ref brought sanity to the game by giving him matching orders with a straight red to give Afande Diouf company in the suspension pavilion. Abakuubwa made use of the man advantage in second half, Ivan again setting up century who charged at Abakawu’s defence and scored an equalizer.

Solutions 2 vs 0 Abukyariire

Abukyariire have not won any derby and their losing streak continued against their old brothers. Kakuru, Timothy, Moses and Katumba had only rogers to beat in solutions goal but wasted their chances. The whole emphasis was put on nullifying solutions Kiga P which worked for Abukyariire. Another Mukiga became a chaos factor because they failed to close him down. The distance from Kanyanya to Kabale is 420 and that is the speed in kph and weight in kg that the Italian moustached bulky 6fter mukiiga Kajoro Bernard twice ferociously bombarded Abukyariire's Mr Safe Hands outside the box to give solutions maximum points. Pastori had a chance to pull one back but he side-netted after leaving Senkima on the ground.
